Anika Trudić

Anika Trudić, MD, PhD, is a medical microbiologist at the Center for Microbiological Diagnostics, Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina, Sremska Kamenica, Serbia, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology with Parasitology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad. Her research focuses on antimicrobial resistance in Gram-negative bacteria of clinical relevance, particularly carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales and other multidrug-resistant pathogens, as well as colonization dynamics, healthcare-associated infections, and the clinical interpretation of microbiology results. Her broader research interests include antimicrobial resistance surveillance, diagnostic microbiology, infection prevention and control, and the antimicrobial potential of natural products. She has participated in national and international research projects, including the EuSCAPE survey supported by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and regularly presents her work at scientific meetings.
