Biography

Dr Soković is a Scientific Advisor at the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”- University of Belgrade. She developed expertise in antimicrobial natural compounds, chemical profiling of medicinal plants and mushrooms, and the study of pathogenic fungi affecting plants, animals, humans, and food. She completed postdoctoral training at Wageningen University & Research, The Netherlands. She has supervised numerous graduate students, including seven completed doctoral dissertations. She has published more than 450 papers in leading international scientific journals and over 140 conference contributions. Her research has received more than 17,400 citations (H-index 63). She is listed among the world’s top 2% most cited scientists, Stanford University rankings. Dr Sokovic is a guest editor and reviewer for numerous international scientific journals and regularly delivers invited lectures at international conferences. Her research aims to advance the understanding and application of natural bioactive compounds for improving human health, food safety, and environmental protection.
