Ivana Gmizić, MD, is an infectious diseases specialist and Teaching Assistant at the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases, University Clinical Center of Serbia, and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. Her clinical work focuses primarily on HIV care across inpatient and outpatient settings, alongside the management of a wide spectrum of infectious diseases. She is currently a PhD candidate in Epidemiology, with research focused on quality of life in patients treated for chronic hepatitis C. Dr. Gmizić is an EACS Career Development Fellow and is actively involved in several international research collaborations and projects addressing HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, and emerging infectious diseases. She is a working group member of the EuroGuidelines in Central and Eastern Europe (ECEE) Network and the TAE Representative of the ESCMID Study Group for Sexually Transmitted Infections (ESTISG).
