Biography

Biljana Popovska Jovičić was born in 1979 in Kragujevac. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Kragujevac in 2006. Since 2008, he has been in permanent employment at the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the University Clinical Center in Kragujevac. She passed the specialist exam in Infectology in 2015. She completed her doctoral academic studies in the field of Immunology, Infection, and Inflammation in 2016. She is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Department of Infectious Diseases, where she has been employed since 2008. She completed her subspecialization in Cardiology in 2025, and the topic of her subspecialty work was “Assessment of cardiovascular risk and the importance of statin use in people living with HIV.” As the head of the temporary hospital in Kragujevac, she actively participated in the treatment of patients with COVID-19. She participated as a lecturer in several national and international meetings in infectology, especially in the field of HIV/AIDS.
