Alexandra Nascutiu is MD, PhD, senior researcher, specialized in the fields of Laboratory medicine and Medical microbiology, with more than 20 years of experience in laboratory medicine, of which 7 years spent as head of the department of immunoserology in the Laboratory of Medical Analyses in the Cantacuzino National Medico-Military Institute for Research and Development. Since 2021, she’s a member in the Biobanking team of the same institute, appointed head of the Biobank in 2025. She’s a head of the Ethical Committee (since 2019) and secretary and then member in the board of the Romanian Society of Microbiology. In the past 5 years she has participated as senior researcher in several projects (Projects funded by the EU, national projects or funded by the Romanian Ministry of Defense), three of them related to biobanking. She’s a member in the board of the Romanian Society of Microbiology (since 2022) and head of the Ethical Committee in the Cantacuzino National Medical Military Institute for Research and Development (since 2019)
