Professor Wei serves as the Dean of the College of Agro-Grassland Sciences at Nanjing Agricultural University. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. all from Nanjing Agricultural University, specializing in soil microbiology and ecological control of soil-borne diseases. Currently, his research focuses on rhizosphere microecology in the context of One Health. He has published extensively in leading journals including Nature Biotechnology, Nature Microbiology, and Nature Ecology & Evolution, with over 100 papers to his credit. Professor Wei also contributes to the academic community as an Associate Editor of Soil Ecology Letters and as an Editorial Board Member for several journals, including Microbiome, Environmental Microbiome, and iMeta.
